I ONLY HAVE TROUBLE
WITH PEOPLE…

…who can’t say “I don’t know.”  Why is it that some people can’t seem to admit they don’t know everything?  Surely, there are what ?… billions or trillions of subjects in this wide world of ours and the details and intricacies of those subjects must be unfathomable.  So, why should someone be ashamed to say they don’t understand something?  Think of all the time that could be saved if, when a topic is mentioned, those who know nothing about it just kept quiet.  This could facilitate an interesting discussion, where a serious exchange of ideas and perhaps knowledge could possibly occur.   I also find when I tell someone “ I don’t know about such and such,” that can act as my exit line.  I have previously mentioned that I don’t drive a car, so it seems logical that I do not follow NASCAR.    So when such a subject enters the conversation, which seems to be happening more and more as of late, I plead ignorance and you know what?  People are generally glad to see me excuse myself.  Just because I don’t know something doesn’t necessarily mean I want to.  I may simply not care and I don’t wish to bring down those who do.  Does that seem fair?
